Managing Duplicate Email Alerts in Canvas

Why am I receiving duplicate emails?

The duplicate emails are generating form your default ([email protected]) and alias email address ([email protected]) which are both affiliated with your Canvas account.

How to turn off duplicate emails?

  1. Log into Canvas your Canvas Account
  2. Select "Account" in the top left then select "Notifications".
    • Here you should see your default and alias email at the top and under each setting where you can turn off/on.
  3. In Notification Setting you should see your default email and alias email appear in two separate columns.
  4. To turn off duplicating notification, scroll down to the "Conversations" section.
  5. Select the green notification bell icon under the column of any one of your email addresses and set all three (3) sub-conversations to "Notifications off".
    • When turned off the bell should not be highlighted
