As part of our commitment to the digital security of the University community, we want to inform you about an upcoming enhancement to the Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) login experience. The Okta platform will be upgraded to introduce new features that will improve the security posture of University services using SSO.
How will I be affected?
Following the upgrade, you will notice slight differences between the current login page and the updated version.

What has changed?
You will notice the following appearance differences to the new login experience:
- The "Remember me" checkbox has been changed to "Keep me signed in."
- The security image underneath the Kean logo has been removed.
Additionally, you are now given two MFA options to authenticate access to your account. Once you enter your credentials, you will be presented with the following options:
- Enter a code from the Okta Verify app: When you open your Okta Verify app, enter the One Time Passcode that is listed under your Kean account to complete the authentication process.
- Get a push notification from the Okta Verify app: Your phone will receive a push notification to verify your login and complete the authentication process.
What action can I take to be prepared for this upgrade?
We recommend ensuring your Okta Verify mobile app is up-to-date to ensure seamless MFA authentication and account security.
